Since 1893, Meeder has been building lasting relationships, reliable service, and top-quality products. What began as a small family business has grown into an international supplier for food service professionals.
Meeder began as a local greengrocer, supplying ship suppliers in the busy port of Rotterdam. This also marks the first year in the Chamber of Commerce.

Contuining after World War 2
Despite World War 2, Meeder managed to continue its operations and help the Rotterdam harbour and industry back onto its feet.
1961
Fresh new look
A new generation steps in, that also broadens the operational activities. With Meeder Fruit Express, beautiful promotional gifts were created for the B2B market. Still based in Coolhaven, Rotterdam
1980
A big move
Moving to a new industrial area in Rotterdam, the Spaanse Polder, with a new state-of-art facility. From here things really began to change.
2000s
A new voyage
The introduction of the cruise deliveries was done and eventually became our main business. With technology advancing we quickly started to organize our operations specifically for this with a custom ERP system.
2006
Goodbye Rotterdam
Moving to the Dutch Fresh Port, in Barendrecht, to be surrounded by leading fresh produce suppliers, securing an optimal position in the supply chain.
